Christer Forsberg Philip is the CEO at anch.AI. Christer is one of Sweden’s leading experts on digital transformation, with experience in implementing AI and data driven technologies within both the private and public sector. Most recently, Christer was Director of Digital Transformation at Scandic where he focused on replacing legacy technology and enabling new digital offerings for Scandic employees and customers. Prior, he worked in the public sector leading digital transformation for the city of Stockholm as Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer where he focused on Smart City programs and projects.
Christer worked for Gartner for nearly 15 years in the area of program and project management. During this time he was heavily involved in several high-profiled transformation projects, e.g. the de-regulation of the Swedish pharmacy market. He also became Vice President of Healthcare Services for the EMEA region.
Christer’s first interaction with AI was in 1989 when he completed his master thesis at Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology on the subject “AI in process control.” His first job was as a research engineer at the Institute where he continued his research and work around AI. He was later hired by ABB for the same reason. He left ABB at the start of the dotcom boom, first as an employee and later as the co-founder and owner of a company specializing in integrating web front-ends with back-end business systems.
It was at the City of Stockholm Christer first connected with Anna Felländer, founder of anch.AI. As part of the Smart City program and projects, Christer identified the need for an ethical risk assessment tool that would enable pro-active mitigation of ethical risks in Smart City use-cases. In that sense, Christer can be seen as the father of anch.AI’s Ethical AI Profiler.
Christer holds a MBA from Stockholm School of Economics (with focus on Organizational Change) and an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology.
